LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Job Type: 32-hours/week – 4 shifts a week on a rotating schedule (every other weekend a must).
Westview Meadows and The Gary Residence in Montpelier VT are seeking an LPN to provide care to residents with memory care needs. The LPN is responsible for supporting the RNs at both locations. The preferred candidate will be eager to support our mission to provide a high-quality residential setting for senior individuals which promotes independence, individuality, choice and security while supporting and enhancing the quality of life for the population it serves.
Responsibilities:
- Support RNs at Westview Meadows and The Gary Residence.
- Provide medical input for residents, families, and staff.
- Assist in the development and update of each resident’s care plan by assessing residents’
functional status on an ongoing basis. - Document information pertaining to changes in resident’ functional status, personal
needs, appointments, etc. - Assure that assistance plans are completed and arrange services and support to meet
resident needs. - Keep Executive Director aware of problems, concerns and updates of each resident and
enlist her assistance as needed. - Review all emergency calls for assistance by residents and complete a quality-action
review on the treatment and handling of each emergency by staff. - Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor or as necessary to maintain quality and
continuity of services and safety of residents.
Qualifications:
- Active LPN Vermont State license.
- Two to five years’ experience providing resident care to the elderly, or similarly related
experience with specialized memory care programs. - One year experience with resident assessment and care planning.
- Understand and conceptualize complex concepts, as well as ability to make appropriate
decisions in stressful situations. - High level communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to show sincere compassion towards cognitively impaired older adults.
- Demonstrates genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of the elderly and
their families. - Must be proficient in basic office equipment, including a personal computer, for the purpose of accomplishing and maintaining a high level of job performance.
- Must pass appropriate background checks and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 per year dependent on geriatric experience.
Med Tech / Resident Assistant (7am – 3pm)
Shifts Available: Part-Time (every other Saturday & Sunday)

Responsibilities: Each caregiver participates as a key member of the health care team, implementing care delivery systems in a manner that maintains a nurturing environment supporting the health and independence of the residents. Caregivers use their care-giving skills to ensure the physical and cognitive well-being of residents, as well as their emotional and social well-being.
Qualifications: Ideal candidate will bring maturity, a strong sense of compassion and a commitment to teamwork. You can expect to find a fun, energetic and friendly team of people who enjoy working together and creating excellence for the population of residents we serve. Med Tech / Resident Assistant (11pm – 7am)

Personal Care Assistant
Shifts Available: 7am – 10am & 6pm – 9pm (weekdays & rotating weekends)
The Gary Residence is seeking a Personal Care Assistant who will assist our residents in their morning and evening routines.
The ideal candidate will bring maturity, a strong sense of compassion, a commitment to teamwork and the ability to work independently. Preference given to LNAs with experience, however we are willing to train the right candidate.
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00/hour
